Ukraine regime Command and Control centres were not hit with Zelenskyy even being told that he wouldn't be targeted.

Also, Ukraine never had the launch codes for the soviet nukes based there, so how can Mearsheimer justify his advice that Ukraine should have retained them? Ukraine got paid off for those, which further lined the pockets of corruption?

He's actually showing that the fact that Russia invaded initially with only between 100,000 and 190,000 soldiers proves that Russia had no designs on the whole of Ukraine.

And the fact that he doesn't describe it as Russia's SMO actually just shows that's he's unbiased and thus more credible.

to pre-empt this attack, expecting to drive Ukraine to the negotiating table. It was NOT an invasion!

Mearsheimer's ignorance of the difference between Russian war doctrine and the SMO does not mean he's unbiased, rather the contrary.

If Putin hadn't called it a Special Military Operation would you have disagreed & called it that
