David Miller has nearly 100k followers on X. To many he is a hero because of his battle against dismissal from Bristol University and his subsequent victory at an Employment Tribunal. However there is another side to Miller.
Miller has begun propagating conspiracy theories about Zionism taking over the world and engaging in ‘state capture’. No longer is Zionism the adopted policy of western states, which support Israel because, in the words of Reagan’s Secretary of State Alexander Haig, it is an ‘unsinkable aircraft carrier’ situated in a strategically important, energy rich region.
Zionism is instead a monster that is engaged in a project involving the take-over and control of the world powers, including its former imperialist sponsors. Indeed it is on its way to having gained control of all of them.
Not surprisingly it is attracting support from fascists, racists, anti-Semites, conspiracy theorists and other assorted fruitcakes and loony tunes. Zionism according to Miller is really no different from the Elders in the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion who planned and plotted to take over the world and subvert the existing order. Miller is one in a long line of cranks.
Why is this important? Because it is already poisoning the Palestinian narrative. No longer is Israel the attack dog of the United States, no longer is it performing important tasks for imperialism, the ‘dirty work’ as Chancellor Merz described Israel’s attack on Iran. Israel is now the major imperialist power and Britain and the United States are its colonies.
Fortunately Miller’s fantasies are fringe rhetoric but that doesn’t mean they cannot do damage. Miller believes the Western states have been captured and need to be ‘freed’. Instead of being institutionally racist and imperialist they are essentially good institutions concerned with their people.
According to Miller the Zionists have taken the British and American states over for their own evil purposes and subverted them. Solidarity work is all but useless. What we need is to root out the Zionist infiltrators who for all practical purposes are Jewish.
I don’t think I need to point out where this is going. It is a dark place which explains nothing and in the end leaves us defenceless against attacks from our own states. Miller is arguing that Islamophobia is a Zionist import and that fascists like Tommy Robinson and Geert Wilders are not homegrown, a product of British and Dutch societies. That they are Zionist creations.
This is not only ahistorical nonsense. Was Mussolini, Hitler, Franco also Zionist imports? What it does is align us with 'patriotic' racists and fascists like Tucker Carlson and Marjorie Green, who believe US imperialism is a good thing but Israel has led it astray and is costing us too much. This is the latest of a fair few moments when David Miller has seemed a bit off the deep end
Given the personal cost of his opposition to the apartheid state you can understand him being vengeful but it's a bit worrying quite how far at the fringes he now seems to be operating and it does make you wonder about his real motivations.
I posted on one of the previous times here but it's been a while.The corporate media are complicit in the Gaza genocide. Never forget what they did. Never forgive them for it.

Sad to see Miller losing it like this, I think TG is right to call him out. Had a look to see if Miller had responded at all to the criticisms, and all I could find was this response to the 'Jewish intelligence' argument from last Sept, which I think I posted before:

The screenshots of the two papers are both in a long line of literature which claims to explain social outcomes in terms of IQ or “intelligence”. But do these theories work to explain Jewish privilege?
Richard Lynn is a co-author of both. He is a long time advocate of racial science as are a number of Zionist advocates of these kind of arguments. These include Steven Pinker, the geneticist, Nicholas Wade, Charles Murray (of the Bell Curve), Jordan Peterson and the journalist Andrew Sullivan.
But are they right?
Short answer: No.
Here is the way in which Gavin Evans, who is, like me, an opponent of race science, sets out the arguments from back in 2018.
Evans goes on, in this long read in the Guardian, to neatly skewer the arguments from race science as follows:
In other words the alleged intelligence of the Jews is neither true nor, therefore, an explanatory factor in the fact of relative Jewish privilege.
So, can we please desist from making daft, nay embarrassing, claims like this?

Good to see him distance himself from racial 'science' in this way, but it's not really the main point of TG's objection. Hopefully the silence indicates he's taken it on board and will rethink his approach, but if it's been a year and he's only gotten worse the signs are 'not good, believe me, not good' (h/t DJT via DD)
