Appallingly shameless BBC linguistic manipulation again. Assad's government is described as a 'regime'; the current regime, headed by a terrorist is called 'the government'.
Your daily reminder, then, that for the BBC, the word 'regime' simply means 'a government that the US wants to see removed'. That's all there is to it.
They never, ever stop doing this. And nowhere in the media are they ever called out on it.
