If it hadn,t already been made clear 10 mins of Prof Schlanger would have made it perfectly obvious that he was Larouchian..

Beg pardon c, I have always been puzzled with your reference to LaRouchian philosophy, so to speak, since there was no solid, concrete example that was on offer your end.

It didn't particularly convince me that this was exactly over (the colonialist project). Meanwhile it seems to me that Yanks have more or less given up apart from causing trouble here and there. At least the French have given up (ish) i.e. Burkina Faso, Mali etc.

Part of the history course was Africa 1830-1910. It was interesting to see how the Euros stole bits of Africa and accelerated the destabilisation of the African interior, that led to the Euros encroaching further to impose their version of order in the interior that destabilised more of the interior and so on.

IN the C20th there was no more interior to occupy to stop the destabilisation that the Euros had begin in the 1440s. Colonialism ended but imperialism didn't, merely changing its clothes, keeping Africa trapped in the Euro-American, then American-Euro trading system.
