I've seen it probably four or five times but for me it's one of those films

you can watch and watch again without losing intensity. Mind you, I have thousands of films I feel that way about.

A while back I asked a few people "Which film have you seen the most times?" and they looked at me like it was a ridiculous question as if the only time you would rewatch a film was if it came on the TV and you happened to be there doing something else. The idea of seeing a film half a dozen times (or more) really blew their minds and yet being surprised at the idea blew mine. Different strokes.

While on the subject of films and television, there's a really good animated series that came out earlier this year called "Common Side Effects" which is well worth a look. Also, "Pluribus" is great (from Vince Gilligan of "Breaking Bad"/"Better Call Saul").

On film, "No Other Choice" is very good; not quite up to "Parasite" standards but still excellent as is the French original. And the new Jafar Panahi is really good: "It Was Just an Accident".

I thought it was to muffle the noise? Also the symbolism with the two swimming pools, as you said.

Another good list is "Films you always watch to the end if you come across them part way through". I have "Dr. Strangelove", "Goodfellas", "The Life of Brian" and "Donnie Darko" on mine for starters.
"Nine Queens" is another. I rewatched it last week. I'm always amazed how many people don't know that film. If you have never seen it, you are missing out!
