The "critic" whose name Torres "can't remember" was that posturing white-suited dunce, Tom Wolfe.

On Radio New Zealand in 2003, Chomsky dismissed Hitchens as "incoherent." He said something similar about poor old Tom Wolfe a few years later, after Wolfe preposterously wrote a book about him.

I think they both pretty much nail it. Chomsky can be tremendously educational and insightful (life-changingly so), but the notion that one should suspend critical faculties as with a god, would be, I think an unfortunate consequence.

Chomsky, in the end, was a Democrat Party asset and soft zionist. He always said the Democrats were very marginally better and should be voted for. This is sheepdogging. He always said that the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists Clock was closer to midnight, and frankly it was Biden who did that in cutting all communication with Russia while presenting a virulently Russofobic stance. The Kiev coup happened under Obama, and Biden elevated Nuland within the state department. Most of what Trump is doing is potentially reversible, a nuclear exchange is not.

As with Hitchens, below, Chomsky was quite possibly compromised, and clear connections have come to light more recently.

Torres unleashes that at the 7:10 mark of this dismal conversation.

Far worse, though, is this despicable, sub-sophomoric piece of villainy that begins at the 2:08 mark:

TORRES: He has been CRITICIZED for DENYING a few genocides. Um...

GRAY: Mmmmm.

TORRES: And he seems somewhat impervious to those sort of criticisms. I can also say that, y'now, with respect to linguistics and philosophy, I mean, he WAS a REALLY, REALLY top-notch, ahhhh, thinker. [snicker] He could debate, he could win a debate, against just about anyone....

ad nauseam...

This fool glibly repeats the long-discredited---in fact, instantly discredited at the time it was made---smear that Chomsky denied the Khmer Rouge genocide. He even upgrades the smear to "a few genocides". And Briahna Joy Gray doesn't even demur at a thing he says.

He continues with that "analysis" of Chomsky's smile for TWO MINUTES.

Torres vapours on, stutteringly, from the 11:45 mark about conspiracies.

At 16:51 Briahna: "You said that he denied a few genocides. What genocides did Chomsky deny?"

In a rambling response, Torres claims Chomsky denied "the Bosnian genocide" and then says that he even supported Russia's claim that it had been provoked by NATO. At that remark, Gray actually challenges him, and he backs down immediately.

A few minutes later, Torres says that Chomsky "had quite low moral standards."

At 17:47 when Torres displayed his brainwashing on Russia's "aggression" against the use of Ukraine as a US proxy, BJG pushed back.

BJG made cogent points about Chomsky's sheepdogging and reflected on the especially harmful outcomes for black people which Chomsky singularly refused to engage with.

It's rather odd for an Anarchist to encourage voting for the money party. He should have read some Malcolm X!

Torres admitted he doesn't know much about the claims, and was just repeating what he'd heard. Gray could have demanded he back up his allegations but she let it slide, like she does almost everything else. I suspect Torres has not read Chomsky's writing about the very real genocide in Indonesia, or his writing about the Cambodian genocide. Instead, he recycles stale, discredited smears from people--David Horowitz, Norman Podhoretz, David Frum, Melanie Phillips--- he doesn't even know he's recycling.
