I notice that liberals have quietened down about fascist trump.

The vicar at my mums church was impressed with him for freeing the Venezuelans, and looked blank when my mum mentioned oil.

talk about a 'dictatorship', and not so interested in the wealth being shared and invested in education etc for the poorest.
As a result, Brits here listening to them base their judgements on a very narrow spectrum of views, with v few singing the praises.

Even as we post and read everyday/most days some form of media criticism it's still surprising how corrupt the media is now, even for a supposedly unpopular (to the corporate centrist shit-lib class) president. Even comparing it to when the second Iraq war crime was going on there was WAY more dissent and questioning in even the most mainstream of mainstream media. Now? Repeating all the lies and false framing and almost no suggestions that some of this may not be correct.

Like this steaming pile of cack from the fraudian; not labelled as such but in the mould of their "helpful" "explainer" type articles, i.e. let us give you the official talking points and no facts.

They do have one critical piece that I can see but I'm sure that's just for window dressing and so they can point it out and say, "See? Both sides!" Even the supposed dissenting article is packed with propaganda corn: "Venezuela has many problems, including drug gangs and authoritarian rule," for example. At least he calls it an abduction.

Many years ago I started to notice how the anti-Bolivarian Venezuelan voices, both in and out of the country, didn't need a BBC translation: in stark contrast to the darker skinned and Spanish-speaking population, they were the white Anglos who, back in the days when Venezuela 'used to be a very rich country' (J. Humphrys, R4) and the poverty rate was 50%, had a 'natural' right to all the gravy. They want it back...
