From my perspective this looks like a reasonable update of the current events in Venezuela

Jorge and Max have had encounters over years and therefore they trust each other. Jorge is not as straightforward as one would like, but perhaps adequate.

I think this interview happened after the news that the top Venezuelan counterintelligence org has been detained, so pity it was not mentioned. Kinda central to the issue.

It may be true but if you look at the way Max conducts this interview you can see he is basically teeing Jorge up and letting him get his talking points out. The fact that some of them don't match with what we "know" so far (no inside man/betrayal, etc.) seems to make it clear that there is some element of spin here.

Just because we agree ideologically with what he says doesn't mean they don't employ the same media strategies that the empire does.

The corporate media are complicit in the Gaza genocide.
Never forget what they did. Never forgive them for it.
