On January 19, 2026, the Kremlin confirmed that Russian President Vladimir Putin received a formal invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump to join a new "Board of Peace" tasked with overseeing the governance, stabilization, and reconstruction of Gaza.

A lot of the time, what's reported as US policy or decisions is just Trump answering off-hand questions yelled at him by reporters (who are just looking for something outrageous or salacious to titillate the public) in couple minute scrums on his way from one place to another.

But it looks like a self fulfilling prophecy and seems to be where his policies begin. He says something crazy off the top of his head and then later runs with it. And the evil idiots around him run with it too.
