Chomsky has often suffered fools, knaves, and criminals too lightly. Epstein was one of them. But that doesn’t mean Chomsky was part of the “Epstein class.”

although he does struggle to deal with the "ignore it" letter which presumably came out after the first published version. It's clearly going to bat for Chomsky but at the same time reminds everyone of all the valuable work he did on so many topics.

The short version is pretty much as I wrote in reply down board: bad judgement, some hypocrisy but not in the "Epstein class"...just about.

The "support" letter is also a bit mysterious and I think likely not written by NC himself

and more likely to be knocked up by one of the nonces or spooks working with them.
