Ploughshares loses plot. Makes $25,000 donation to MERIP a few weeks after MERIP attacks Iran.

MERIP (Middle East Research and Information Project) wrote a long piece quoting Amnesty International quoting a UN report criticising the slaughter of so-called peaceful protesters in Iran. Not a rioter in sight.

"Ploughshares aims to support effective organizations and advocates around the world with the aim of reducing and eventually eliminating the dangers posed by nuclear weapons."

Yeah sure, MERIP encouraging an attack on non-nuclear Iran by two nuclear powers should go some way towards "eliminating the dangers posed by nuclear weapons". Feck sake, IRAN must have been typing "nuclear weapons" into Amazon's search box first chance they got.
