The Russophobia would have been exacerbated later by the necessity to drum up British public support for the invasion of Russia by the British and a bunch of other countries in an attempt to overthrow the Bolsheviks. I would imagine.

Interesting to look through Hansard and see how the Brits justified their invasion and, indeed, reacted to the Revolution itself.

"The Genesis of Russophobia in Great Britain" goes back much further than 1918. Amazing the way the Russophobia is turned on, like a switch, whenever they want. Manufacturing consent, indeed. We're fecking pawns. Chomsky had it right when he suggested we all need a self-defence course in propaganda studies. Or some such.

Genesis (1949) covers 1815-1841. Fascinating stuff. Anybody got a non-scanned copy? Probably not.

Very old, first written in 1949.

Re: Genesis (1949) covers 1815-1841. Fascinating stuff. Anybody got a non-scanned copy? Probably not.
