We have heard of protests from Iranian fans outside the stadium ahead of this game, and as we know, not all Iranians see their national football team as the team that they used to totally love and sometimes see it as an extension of a regime that they don't necessarily support so I think that was expected, but for now, Iran, the players, the squad and the manager, Amir Ghalenoei, need to concentrate on their opening fixture in group G."

Same could be said for every other team's supporters at the tournament.l

There was no visible or audible protest against the Iran team during the match, which Iran should have won.

Work on maintaing shape/ rotations on penetrating through balls, diagonals and close interplay Infront of 18yard box.

...as you might guess, a hack standing outside the stadium interviewing "protestors" who we were told "hate the regime in Tehran", and were holding freedom flags and not Iranian ones.
The hack did that annoying thing of pronouncing "Tehran" in some sort of imitation Iranian accent.

I thought it was a good game and the Iranians deserved the win but it wasn't to be. Hope they can break out of the group stage.
