Anyone familiar with this guy?
I know these atrocities will be well known to all here but it still shocks seeing them all lined up like this...and also, it goes without saying, these are just the tip of the iceberg.

Loved it! I love unaccompanied singing. Much different to the version I learnt at school

and the version I heard a busker sing in Brighton not long ago.

Amazing yer man managed to hang onto his version despite the rendition you hear frequently these days.

Took him a while to get going, mind

Yes, I was pleased to find this version when researching the song after finding it in a book & taking a liking to it. I've only had the pleasure of listening to Irish a cappella folk songs a few times, but it's a memorable experience when done well. I like the direct engagement the singer at the bar has with his/her audience, making eye contact etc. And the long preamble speaks of a less rushed time as well as respect for the song. Beats people doing pissed-up renditions of Fields of Athenry on St Patrick's day and having to read the lyrics from their phones...
