The list of regular guests goes on and on. Here are a few more: Michael Portillo, William Shawcross (hilariously angry when confronted with his own words [1]), Jonathan Freedland, Jonathan Haidt, Serhi Plokhy [2] who told New Zealand listeners that it was absurd to say there were Nazis in the Ukraine regime. While he still unhappily stalked this planet, Christopher Hitchens was another regular, as pompous as Simon Schama and as dyspeptic as Shawcross; a week after one of Hitchens' appearances in 2003, interviewer Kim Hill asked another guest, Noam Chomsky, to comment on Hitchens' political move to the hard right. Chomsky summed him up in one word: "Incoherent."
