Another aspect of this is veteran's care. It's already bad and failing to record their service details only exacerbates that.

One wonders why anyone would join the armed forces in the first place but for many it's a way of making a living and getting a trade. Also, going into conflicts, service members are lauded as patriots and heroes. After the conflict (and the physical and mental damage it causes to them and their families and neighbours), they're [willfully] forgotten and ignored.

And of course the biggie, education.

For many it's the only way to get an increasingly useless degree without selling a kidney, but possibly losing some limbs.

The difference between the glossy ads and fawning lip-service and the reality of serving in the US AF is enormous.

Matt Kennard's book "Irregular Army" is also an eye-opener.

The corporate media are complicit in the Gaza genocide.

A real spate of ads on the telly at the moment showing the glossy side of being an army/navy bod...like anyone in those professions are somehow superhuman!
Not such a superhuman anymore if you get your legs blown off.
