Sachs "The US government...has become a force for ill in the world in countless ways..." "Has become"? Come on, Jeff, tell me when it wasn't a force for ill in the world! I have heard Sachs repeating this sort of thing a few times with a kind of rose coloured hankering back to more halcyon days when the US was a force for good...well, that never happened! It's akin the those who like to posit that getting rid of Netanyahu will somehow solve the little zionist state of hate problem.
"I won't dignify the attacker's words by repeating them, they are horrific and vile."
Re: GG...Night of the Profs...Sachs and David Miller...
Galloway has not always been wise enough to agree with me - nobody has - so I am glad he has changed his tune on Mamdani, whom he once described as Neil Kinnock mark 2. It seems he was just as foolish as I was about Starmer. I thought anyone who was not Keir Starmer must be an improvement on Keir Starmer, who had not a single redeeming feature. But Starmer did have two redeeming features. He opposed Trumps neverending war against Iran and he resisted increases in the defence budget. It was his redeeming features, it seems, not his godawfulness that that brought him down! Galloway's eloquence is undimmed and he shows no sign of cognitive impairment. But then,he is stii young.
