Well deserved praise for MediaLens in my view; helped to open up public mindset for challenges to UK establishment media. I went to a conference in Goldsmiths in 2013 'Media and War', had John Pilger and David Miller most memorably; MediaLens was v well-supported by mostly young uni age crowd (not me) when mentioned in QnAs.
The writer of this Peter Oborne has done such an incredible about turn since being a Daily Telegraph man.

In order for us to have an opportunity to re-organize and thereby survive as a community, I recall members of this board having to request an additional week or to of terminal survival for the Media Lens Message Board, before we were unceremoniously flushed from from the Media Lens ecosystem as an irritant.
The expressed sentiment, "We can't simply let this community die" did not come from Media Lens, irrespective of the necessity of the divorce, the latter being in fairness their prerogative as hosts.
For the sake of unity on the left, it is essential to forgive, but we could nonetheless do well not to forget the historical record.
