Anthony Burgess

I haven't seen anything on screen about Burgess since Uncle Tom Paulin noted that he wasn't a novelist on Late Review, at which The Babe looked at me in triumph and chortled.

from A Dead Man in Deptford

A novel about Christopher Marlowe (who many used believe wrote Shakespeare's plays). Check out Tamburaine the Great.

Very much enjoyed that video of Burgess.

I like a bit of Marlowe, myself...always fun to tell a Shakespeare guy he's the better writer...

Speaking about moggies, personally, mine drive me fvcking crazy...in out, in out for no other reason that to ruin a beautiful dream I might be in the middle of...total little fvckers.

Or that there never was a Shakespeare. That Marlowe wrote them all!

Here's a moggie story for ya. One winter's night we were sound asleep and the cat must have gone under the top blanket as usual. In the early hours of the morning we were woken by a ferocious racket. It was like the bed had taken on a life of it's own. It turned out that a neighbour's cat had come in the cat door and made his way under the blanket. I'll leave the rest to your imagination...

I'm still not in the better of it.

I was never a moggie man, always a dog man...my long gone Springer, still brings tears to my eyes when I think of the happy days with him...but when I moved here, a couple of very little young cats turned up, kittens I suppose, and I couldn't help but throw a bit of grub to them...that was it, they moved in and have had the life of Reilly ever since.
My carpets are in ruins, vet bills extortionate, and we can't have nice things but we love 'em! ❤️
