Excuse the source but this is outrageous. Israel has crowded the survivors in Gaza into 30% of their land and is depriving them of food, shelter and water while systematically removing the evidence of its criminal destruction, and in the process making Gaza unlivable. That’s genocide.

A BBC reporter broke impartiality rules by mentioning ‘genocide’ in Gaza, the broadcaster has said.
Katty Kay, its US special correspondent, made the comment on a podcast owned by former Match Of The Day presenter Gary Lineker.
She is one of the BBC’s most experienced journalists in North America, having anchored coverage of the 2016 and 2020 US presidential elections.
It was during her second job – co-presenting The Rest Is Politics: US with former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci – that a complaint was raised.
In an episode recorded last month, Ms Kay, 61, said: ‘I know there is so much anger in the Democratic Party, understandably, and about what has happened in Gaza and Israel, and the government of Netanyahu’s response to that, and the genocide that is being committed there.’
A listener reportedly said this breached the BBC’s rules that its staff must distinguish opinion from fact.
The broadcaster accepted that Ms Kay’s comment on the podcast – produced by Mr Lineker’s company Goalhanger – ‘did not meet our editorial standards’, which staff are expected to uphold even when they are appearing on non-BBC programmes.
Responding to the complaint, the BBC said she had ‘meant to attribute the characterisation of events’ in Gaza to ‘certain Democrats’ who believed Israel had committed genocide, ‘but failed to do so clearly’.
