Interesting to hear about her attempts to learn Russian. She should have gone to a school in the evenings while in Moscow. I spent 6 months learning Russian in a real anti-Putin school here in London with my partner. Good teachers but the way their lips used curl when I'd draw their attention to what was really going on in the world used madden me. It was as if they were all White Russians or their descendents who had left when the Bolsheviks took over. They had a bookshop full of books about Navalny!

Anyway I gave it up (temporarily, I hope) when I realised visiting Russia would be really difficult because of the goddamn sanctions. Bastards!
