There was a fire at a church or near a church on the road above us. But I talked to folks who went there and they have heard nothing about it. Weird!
The last two weeks I have been physically unwell. Even Charlie was not doing good - thus the soaking cloth for him and the same for me. I had wet handtowels soaked in cool no cold water and rolled up to lay across my neck. Whew... but that was added after I got wet!
Mentally & physically we both weren't doing well for 2 days. Finally we are better. All my fans are going. I have 2 acs and one of them got weird. But I checked it out and it is ok now.
Temps will be bouncing from 101 to 100 for a few days then hopefully high of 94 today (Sat) 96 then 99 then 100 back to 99 at 7pm very SLIGHT chance for rain then, but 89s overnight. Not cool at all.
Sunday 100 is high, Mon is 101, with possible rain over the week and some 98's. The Kids are in high 100's thank goodness we have so many trees.
DD is now in upper 90's. That's not good for clients on extreme meds. Like DD. She had a bad heat reaction yesterday and went to the hospital. Luckly nothing bad just heat reaction.
I am so sorry the emeralds aremissing I hope you find them. I can identify with your fear since all my things are in MN. Nough said!
Good on finding packets of cover crops. Good luck planting them in the fall..
I have piled all the odd stuff the Kids and Boys kids have dropped willy nilly about the house in a pile for donating.
I have most of the meds for me and CHarlie for this month. Though I went with monthly delivery from Chewy and CVS pharmacy for Charlies meds and my patches as well as my Humana meds for me. Sigh!
It's definitely 'bug season.' Cicadas are out day & night. Ants are horrid and I moved the hummer feeders any number of times and even with the water cups above them - phew.. still ants.
Whoa re the DH Spider situation. Luckly he immediately registered that a spider was on him. And smashed it. Black widows are BAD.
Kitty has the library and the window faces directly south so no real sunlight from there.
Soli is hanging out in the hallway sleeping in front of the box fan that goes 24/7 unless it is food time then he is on the dining room table - his food has to be on the table so C doesn't eat it. SIGH! I have the library block off from Charlie.
Kitty accepts me as her only friend. Soli pesters me all the time. Charlie wants out when he wants out. At least he waits for me to feed him. Lucky me!
Oh that is a shame. I hope Thyri is recovered soon.
To make it even better, on the cover is a photo of Thyri when she was about a week old. OH COOL!!!
Ok got to the bottom of everything you posted.
My news is no yard work at all. My Red Tips are dying out. The weeds are also dying, grasses as well. The yard looks like crap. I can't do anything in this heat but walk CHarlie often at times of day that won't kill us. And walk to the CCtr twice a week for solitude and companion ship and fun. Then maybe lunch one in a while with them.
One of the women is taking me to have my fasting read on Tuesday -- it is an hour drive from here. I will take her to lunch at the Mexican restuarant in that City it is a different county. Counties here are tiny to huge. The medical appointment shouldn't take more then 15 minutes. and the wait time about 20mins. This is the same place where I stayed there for 6 hrs. SIGH! Anyway... it will be nice to be out with her.
Well, time for lunch for me. I ate at 9am... and not sure what to have for lunch. Plus it is time for Charlies lunch. A small mix of canned and dry food. Then a walk for both of us.
Wish me luck on the fasting. I am eating better untill I gobble down candy or ice cream 8-(!Oh well.
Stay as cool as you can, and BE safe.
