I use the 7th Generation as my go-to, but for conventional, when I need something very absorbant for a project, I like the multi-surface Vivas, which are on clearance at Safeway this week - uh oh. Does that mean that they are no longer going to carry them, or that they are being discontinued? Sheesh!
Does it matter to you if you use name brand or store brand foil?
It used to, but not more recently. The store brand is now as sturdy as the name brand, and at a better deal.
When I used more boxed and canned items, I did prefer some brands, of some items.
Though, even then, sometimes the other brands were fine. For example, I could use any brand of beets for Harvard beets back then, but which Mexi-tomatoes, tomato paste, tuna, and creamed corn mattered. Also, condiments mattered to me. I preferred my catsup and mayonnaise.
Have you changed how you buy now, in the 2000's, or do you feel that you have the same choices that you had in the 60's and 70's?
I feel as though there are more generic options for me these days, even though I need less canned/boxed goods, but again, it may be the stores themselves.
