Nobody punished defenders while toting the rock like AD.
Unlike most Viking fans, I was never a big fan of the guy. But, we've seen Mattison. We know Nwengwu has the running vision of a blind rabbit.
For w/e reason. Oconnell seems unwilling to try Ty Chandler in an expanded role.
So? Who ya gonna call?
2 decent practice squad backs out there...
Spencer Brown, Panthers
Brown had a long and illustrious career at UAB. He brought a solid 4.7 yards-per-carry average in 858 carries across four seasons into the NFL. He's a hybrid-type back who's not incredibly shifty nor overwhelmingly powerful, but there's some juice in his lower half and he can occasionally make tackle attempts look extremely weak.
Elijah Holyfield, RB, Bengals
Holyfield averaged 4.6 yards per carry on 20 totes this preseason in Philadelphia and 4.0 yards per with the Panthers in 2020. He's a compactly built, decently shifty back with light feet and good vision. Holyfield can help.
The Vikings need to look, NOW. 1 more injury & the cupboard is bare. It's already the weakest position group on the team.
Dewayne McBride is stashed on the Viking practice squad. Perhaps he gets elevated to active roster?
The way the viking O-line plays. Maybe it doesn't matter. Scramble drill QB rushing yards is likely going to lead the team in rushing yds going forward
Dewayne? Get ready. Your NFL debut is coming soon.
