After vegas selects at pick 13-
Saints draft 14.
Seahawks draft 16. (Traded for howell)
Steelers @ 19 ( added fields/wilson)
Rams @ 20
Tampa@ 26
All of the above are likely in the market for qb of future. Fields & wilson are on 1 year deals in Pittsburgh. Mayfield is a 50/50 prop of flameout.
Derek Carr & Geno smith in similar circumstance & Stafford can be cut in 2025 with minimal cap hit.
Then atop round 2 falcons & jets have aging qb's with questionable health surrounding achilles.
Trading back up into rnd 1 for a qb is a possiblity.
That said, i do believe 6 qb's are drafted no later than early 20's. Id be shocked if the vikings dont have their guy by pick 11- more likely they move up to cut off denver/vegas.
The statement from Deion Sanders concerning his qb son/ "were going Eli in 2025 draft". Makes this years crop even more attractive every day.
I wouldnt be at all surprised to see Rattler, Pratt, Ward get drafted in late round 1 or top of rnd 2.
If Trey Lance/ Anthony Richardson are top 10 draft talent- im quite surprised Cam Ward is virtually ignored in the current conversation. He more than passes the ncaa eye test. The kid was quite the star at wazzu.

The sheer # of prospects in '24 is pushing some crazy good skill set qb's out of the internet conversation. Teams & GM's dont care about the hype. They just want guys that project to high ceiling starters.
All of these guys are better prospects than Trey Lance & Kenny Pickett.
The 2024 draft reminds me of 1999 & 1983.
6 qb's went round 1 in those drafts. 2024 could set a new nfl record. 7 qb's in round 1?
That doesnt mean theres 7 quality starters. It just means the need is there. Plus the added Covid eligibility ending and Nil coming into view has produced an unprecedented # of prospects with nfl starter/ future starter potential. With the next couple years looking rather barren.
Get 'em while theyre hot!
