I know its not "correct"
Fyi- in Alaska-
Calling somebody a "native" is a slur.
They want to be called by their tribe- athbascan, inuit, inuput etc- or "alaskan"- or hey dude/ hey Clem/ hey Janet...
Yet, here in redneck Idaho- call out to a stranger, Hey dude- dudes probably going to take offense.
Labels just need to be ignored. Somebody is always going to be offended. Queer was once a slur, now its not. Black was once a slur & Negro was ok- until it wasnt, colored was ok- until it wasnt. Now were back to black is ok.
Instead of being tolerant & realizing that in 90% of cases- no offense intended. Everybody stares fixated on their phones stumbling thru life oblivious while bumping into me in the store...
And- lol, that offends ME. LOL
Ive taken to stopping, standing still when i see a "phone walker". 10 feet b4 they arrive I stick my foot out & watch if they notice. Usually they dont. In which case I pull my foot in.
Im almost nearing needing a cane to get around ..lol- will i pull the cane back when the dumas glued to his phone is about to face plant?
I have not decided.
