I'm not sure if this is unusual but I find only people I know affect my shy bowel. So I have no problem with public loos as long as they are reasonably clean. So I can stop off at motorway services or go at airports as long as I am travelling alone. This is lucky as it would really affect my work which involves a lot of travel.
The companies I have worked for have never expected me to share rooms with colleagues so that part is OK too as I have a safe haven when I am in the hotel!
The thing that really is affected is going on holiday with friends and family. I don't think they understand why I always want my own room and probably annoys them as it always ends up costing more for everyone if I need a separate room.
I have managed to share rooms with other people and sometimes managed to ask them to leave me alone for a while but they probably think I'm weird cos I didn't explain why I wanted to be left alone!
Anyone else Ok with strangers around but not with friends/family?
