Sort of place that with all the shortage of fish problems the HB have at the moment this could be the spot to head to.

Only access would be by boat in which case you may as well fish from the boat

Interesting that in the top photo there appears to be a walking track? I'm sure some of the dots are not marks on my screen!

The photo is actually a screen-grab taken from a video of the annual Staples Rodway Challenge which is a crosscountry race they have out there.
The dots in the pic are runners.
The area is owned by the cape kidnappers resort/golfcourse as far as I know.

You can almost drive right out there in a 4x4. The hard part is getting permission to get on the farm track.
You could hide a rod in your golf bag and pretend you are a crap golfer and hit your ball in that direction and follow it to the water.

The snapper don't know where the car park is!
Sometimes it is better to travel than to arrive.

Gary - I wouldn't need to pretend I'm a crap golfer... My golf would be even more crap than my casting

Knew I should have checked the tides and gone Saturday! 3.00pm low is too late so the prawns and mussels have gone into the pasta for lunch today, (after the mussels went into the smoker

) At least I got my Zziplex rebuild thread work finished.
