If the customer has accepted the insurance offer after you made it clear to him that this amount should cover the workshop bill then it's time to hit him with the bill, if he didn't argue with his insurance it's his problem. If on the other hand you didn't make it clear to him that you would expect to be paid and it was down to him to pressure the insurance company then he might well refuse as the insurance has.
