Has anybody else noticed the state of cars in europe? Or the number of abandoned cars in the built up areas? (I'm talking about Spain, Greece, France, Portugal and Italy but I can only imagine it gets worse as you get nearer the Eastern Bloc.) People will be buying a 'barely passed' motor, running it for 23 months and then simply scrapping it.
How often do you hear of the Rozzers stopping a vehicle for a safety check? Not often enough in my opinion.
How does our 'MOT' test stack up against a test in, say, Germany?
The criteria for a vehicle component to fail a UK test may be very different to another country.
How many times are we forced to pass a vehicle that we KNOW is verging on the dangerous but there is no proviso in the MOT rules to fail it?
Hopefully this proposal remains just that, a proposal, but if it becomes legislation we can expect lots of those little shrines you see next to Eurpoean 'B' roads sprouting up over here!
