I'd be careful if your thinking about have a few lease cars to loan out. Its a good idea and certainly looks good but from experience (bodyshop) lease company's expect them back in as new condiion unless your mate has a differnet agrement.
Every little dent/scratch has to be rectified and even wheel or wheel trim scuffs have to be reparied. Body repairs can become expensive so its someting to think about.
Are you going to check the car before and after every time you lend it out. Is the custome goign to be happy filling in a form for damage etc.
How much would it cost to insure all these extra cars especially if you have them open to all drives. (but you can be insured against people being dis-honest saying there insured when there not)
We have 3 loan cars (which we own) and are not new but not to tatty either. I view it as its better than no car at all so take or leave it.
If there legal, safe and reliable what's wrong with that, might not have the same image as 10 new cars that could cost a fortune but does the same job, keep the custome on the road why there car is in for repair.
Just as easy to damage a new car as an old car but a car park dent in a lease car has a different outcome to that of a dent in your loan car.
You can decide if you want to repair it or not where as with a lease car you have no choice.
Just something to think about
