    Hi Rob

I have nothing against the revised Bosch Service Centre scheme, but like all, i have a few reservations about the advertising strategy. As James points out the majority of the motoring public would not associate Bosch with motor vehicles, only power tools, fridges and washing machines etc

Are they going to advertise weekly on TV? (mega expensive), sustained advertising campaign in the national news papers? (mega expensive), advertise in motor trade mags? (waist of time as motoring public don't read them)

The advertising budget would be better spent on a decent website for each Bosch Service Centre. If a customer has a vehicle with a diagnostic problem or needs a service and not sure where to start looking, then the obvious choice is going to be the internet for local garages, from a pc either at work or home, he is not going to search yellow pages, local news papers, national daily paper or recall a TV ad

If you type "diagnostics redhill surrey" into google, 4 out of the first 10 web pages are for my site. If you type in "servicing redhill surrey" i will have 2 out of the first 10 pages. Not a Bosch or UCCC in sight .......they are not going to type in "Bosch" or "UCCC" because they do not associate these names with car repairs

So if i was going to sign up as a Bosch Service Centre i would want to know my money was being spent on effective advertising (internet) not "SPIN"

A decent parts supplier is also essential such as Camberley Auto Factors
