Cabbage as in the Green v/s the White that's now hard to find and why?

Cooking that White Cabbage was for Cooking and the Green was for Salads and such & what happen?
To find a Head of White Cabbage in a Grocery Store and Good luck with that.
Local Curb Markets by request or a Veggie Stand maybe.
The older I get the more I harken back to the way I was raised & outside of my adventures on Route 66. (Where stuff was learned that was diffrent.) And that's a good thing at least 'IMO'
But again up till right now for me. Life has been an ongoing adventure that's been unending even if?
