I have a lot of respect for Electronic Intifada's coverage (although as with any source, I consider their input as simply another part of the story). For example, in the larger podcast from which the clip above was taken, they question why, if Al Shifa hospital was the Hamas command centre, it is not and IDF command centre which I think is a good question. They draw from many sources, including Israeli, Palestinian and international media, IDF, US & other gov'ts, US military, Qassam Brigade, UN, Palestinian leadership and many others in trying to understand what happened on Oct 7 and what has happened since.
I have been personally acquainted with Jon Elmer for 20 years and he's been doing this work non-stop for longer than that and has lived in the Occupied Territories. I've always found him to be thorough, astute and honest.
Regarding what happened on Oct 7, I want to see a timeline about what happened and who did what, based on investigation. Israel has pretty much exclusive access to all of this information but their style is to guard info and manipulate it as a weapon. So we will probably never know how many people were killed or injured by Palestinian militants and civilians who might have slipped in thru the breached wall, and how many were killed by Israeli citizens, police and military. We also not know for sure how the people were killed or injured. It seems unlikely that if there was rampant rape during the incursion, there wouldn't be any women going on record to say that they were victims of it, especially since it was allegedly done by a detested, allegedly barbaric enemy.
