Got right through this thread without reading a word of T'man's input! Dading is easy, and cures allArchived Message

irritation caused gratuitously by unhousetrained silly buggers!
And it's so much quicker and more effective than multiple meetings of the many committees of the People's Front For The Liberation of Palestine (Marxist/Leninist Tendency). So I can carry on comfortably, feathers unruffled by aforementioned silly buggers, inputting stuff that's - arguably - about the board's formal purpose (liberally interpreted ), and also receiving other sensible posters' inputs of similarly enlightening stuff. I'll quote here again a clip from a play I was in in the West End, in 1964:
De Sade:- "Everything that we see and hear Can add to and increase us in some way. And so it may have been with my play: Some seeds have drifted from our stage, A few, perhaps, have taken root in you. But whatever these seeds are, even though In your darkest places they may feed and grow, Whatever these seeds are - you will never know!"
- Adrian Mitchell rendering Peter Weiss's original German into English verse. A good argument for persistent consciousness-raising, by all the various means that work (including demos!), however bloody futile it may seem at times. What Weiss says is dead accurate.
Everyone already has their own personal banning and censorship facility already in their own hands, each one tailor made to your own preferences. Use it, ffs! And carry on broadcasting seeds, and tending those planted in your own mind, in turn. History's seeds germinate at their own pace, and will not by hurried by impatient humans...
PS: Der, I wish your romantic notions of anarchistic communities were feasible in mass, industrial societies. I'd really much prefer that. But obviously they're not. Where are the long-persisting examples? Meanwhile, we must do the best we can with whatever does actually work, however haltingly, and not get bogged down in gloriously-perfect theory that just doesn't work in practice. Cheers buddy! dan still gets my vote.
