But he criticizes it from the viewpoint of 'pernicious racialism', isn't that disguising his real objection? I'm not 100% sure without more careful scrutiny, but any bourgeoisie would be materialist surely. Not sure why race should come into this line of thought? If he wants to take issue with the more radical thinking - which is sceptical about reconciliations that leave the existing imbalances of racial history in place - I think he should do it directly, the headline-grabbing accusation of 'racialism' seems an unwarranted side-swipe. To me, but I half-expect that from him so I could be wrong, I'd need to study it better. Cheers
