Well I tend to agree with Walt....the writer proselytises for "reconciliation" then goes out of his way not to find any reason to support Morris criticisms because they are not "correct"...A case of throwing the baby out for your own purposes I'd say.. Surely the :"Racial Reconciliation Fantasies” are evidential of Hollywood, "dancing the dance of the algorithm" and failing to realise that if one continues to pay-the-piper he will surely continue to call the tune? Would his be an intersectionality between he and Morris that the author's chosen dialectic would rather he ignored..? I'm no expert in this field and have seen few of the movies referred to but as an interested observer it strikes me that to argue for more recognition of "sameness" without looking for areas of agreement within another's analysis whilst emphasising those where one differs is just as hypocritical..
