When said it will take tine I was talking in months, not years. Usu went today. Unlv, new mexico and csu look appealing. Probably will happen before January to set football schedules. The pac12 could add other members based on the stength in Olympic sports. Hawaii becomes first option, with lmu, pepperdine and lbsu in the la market. Depends if the pac wants to remain a football- only conference. They do not like sharing money with Olympic schools. It may take then years to get that option under control. I suspect there will be a separate revenue sharing agreement for the Olympians. In the meantime support your basketball, volleyball and soccer teams.

"The conference must get back to at least eight football-playing members by 2026 to meet the NCAA and FBS requirements. The four additions announced Thursday were the top four targets, but the next step has not yet been determined, according to people with knowledge of the discussions. I think unlv is the probable addition to the Pac12. Sjsu is in the Sf market, but not the talk of the bay area in the media. It will some time before the pac adds new members. The will want to wait fir the best available. I agree sjsu should do a Hawaii and play football in the Mwc but all other sports in a conference closer to home to avoid cost. This will become evident when the mwc craters. The replacements will come from either the Big Sky or the Wac. Not a lot to pick from there. Don not forget there are 5 D1 football plying schools in Calif. Add another and you have a new confernce. Previous Message
UCI will not be moving anywhere. Why would they? They have a better shot at the NCAA's in MBB if they stay in the BW. Moving forward Mountain West is going to be like the WAC with just a bunch of teams all over the country. Mountain West is in big trouble. I still believe UNLV will be the next team to leave the MTW. Because Hawaii plays football they are the more likely to move to the MWC. I see no advantage to UCI in the MWC. Is the MVC a 1 bid basketball conv? If so no advantage to UCI moving. What is the buy-out money to leave the BW Previous Message
