I believe that we need to support the new Mens Basketball Coach and at fund a small NIL fund. With all due respect to other sports Mens Basketball is the major sport on campus. If we don’t support the new Coach he will be gone in a couple of years.
We will not and can not compete with the P4 schools. But we had better compete with the rest of the Big West and other Mid Majors or we will not have an Athletic program in a few years.

The NIL poll posted the other day shows most fans here, a small sample of 22 posters, are neutral about NIL for men's hoops. The results show that 32% think NIL is a good way to fund our team, 41% say they are neutral about NIL, and 27% say NIL is a bad way to fund men's hoops.

My opinion on NIL is that we have asked for a new coach for several years and we finally got one and our new coach and AD want to get a strong NIL fund going and I don't feel that LB fans want to support the fund. If we want Acker to succeed and dominate the BW, I feel we need to support him with NIL. I realize that many want to donate to the athletic fund to help all LB sports and that's a good thing. It is their money so they can do what they want with it. My hope is that the donors to the athletic fund will also give even a small amount to the men's hoops NIL.
