All I said was I don’t think LB State is a 7th place Big West team. That is hardly gushing over the team. I like what I have read about Coach Acker and he has brought in some talented players.
I don’t think there are 6 better Big West teams.

My read of Bill's post is apparently different than yours, he said, " I do predict this team will be top 3 in the BW in team cohesiveness and effort ." In other words, he did not seem to predict a top three finish, but that they would work hard and play together. That may be optimistic too, but, it does not seem unreasonable to me.
I also would say that I think we will not end up 7th (or worse). I like the quality of talent Acker has brought in, and I like his history of developing talent. Realistically, I am not terribly optimistic about winning the BW regular season. other teams have too much of a head start on knowing their system and having a culture. I am bullish on Acker and what he will do over time, but think it will take some time to overtake UCI, UCSB and and others at the top. Previous Message
I have no clue how good we will be. We return no players from last year that played any min and have 12 recruits. As always, I am cautiously optimistic but in MHO it's a stretch to expect us to be on the top 3. Previous Message

C'mon Bill, be realistic. They have not played one second of ball together as a team. I am of the opinion we should wait until they prove to us that they are worth of gushing. Previous Message
