PS, LB wins the BW tournament one year if Monson leaves Bibbins in that game against Hawaii(?). Coach puts Bibbins in the game, we take the lead and the momentum and then he takes him out and we lose... go figure.
Totally agree with you. It is sad to lose some of the players that we have over the years and see them come up sitting on the bench for another program when they were highly productive here. I think only Bibbins has had any success after leaving us! Hard to say what these young adults are really looking for when they leave us, but if it is playing time and greater success, most have badly failed at that in the past. If it is right now NIL money, well, I do understand!
Rumors were that the two Traores were getting NIL money in the range of $500k. That is pretty significant money, it can set you up with a nice house in most of the country (I know not as much in SoCal). I cannot blame them. Additionally, both young men have a chance to play against the best. The one key issue was that Monson knew how to use AT, in an impactful way. At Louisville, they may not be going to spend a lot of minutes for a 6/5" PF, or a guard that cannot shoot. I am super happy with Acker, and excited with what he will bring. My big problem with canning Monson though was I thought the Traores might have stayed had he been kept on, and I think we could have been special if they could have kept the team together.
Well, best of luck to them.
$ talks lol.
and were beat by Tenn at home by 22 points.
AJ George play 15 min in each of the 2 games SMU has played scoring 2 and 4 points.
Jadon Jones scored 2 points in a reserve role in the only game Oklahoma has played
Silva hasn't appeared in either game USF has played.
Unfortunately, Lassina Traore is out for the season due to injury.
Aboubacar played 16 mins yesterday for Louisville and had no points and 1 rebound. I hope the money was worth it.
