I wish they would have built the Alumni center out near the recycling center or Pyramid lot as was originally planned, then they could have had a dedicated monitored parking lot for alums, get the alumni association (if it still is operating???) out of the student union where no one can get to it, and have a small amount of items to purchase. It could have been a pregame destination with rotating displays of our history, etc.
Beach on 2nd was a great concept, and I would shop there after graduating, but understand if it wasn't profitable the need to close it down.
Some gear I would find at weird times like Costco or Target. Don't live locally so can't confirm if this is still a thing.

Agree on parking as store is open on Saturday's I believe 11-4 as best to check online to confirm for the day you plan to go. Since the 2nd Street store closed that bookstore, online as well as the mid and Blair is where to purchase merch. Previous Message
What is really needed is short term parking by the bookstore. They need to have 10-15 places with 20 minute meters in the closest parking lot. The store can't be visited durning the day and I don't think it's open on weekends. Some clothing items are sold in the Myd at game time. Previous Message
I prefer the classic interlocking LB logo. I have gear with the old Beach cursive logo which I like as well, plus the last remnants of old athletic gear. I don't mind the new beAch logo, and when my gear gets worn out I might pick up one of those. Previous Message
I worked at the bookstore when I was a student. I remember it was very difficult to get clothing in the school colors brown and gold. The people in charge of ordering argued that no one bought it, and that pink was what people wanted so that’s what they sold. I never understood how you could argue something would not sell when it is not offered for sale, but they did.
Over the years LBSU made real progress in promoting pride in who we were until we made a U-turn. The “new” merchandise keeps me away as I do not like the new BEACH logo or Shark mascot. I noticed that Elbee is various shades of grey. I guess grey is the new pink. Previous Message
I feel like the school store to buy items could be better. I know many of us have expressed concerns with branding/Mascot etc. Perhaps with a new University President coming in they will fix many of these areas. What are your thoughts in the poll below about our merchandising? For years I have wanted the basketball shorts that are warn by the players on court. many schools sell these in their stores. Also the Jersey they sell should allow for either a custom Number, or just put 49 like it used to be. the double zero 00 looks lame in my opinion. Thoughts? Ideas?
