I do not like "Long Beach State The Beach". It is awkward to say and doesn't roll off the lips.
What should our branding be?
I say Long Beach State Beach, deleting the "the." This is only if the 49er option is not going to be done. I have never heard a fan say, " Go the Beach." Of course, everyone says, "Go Beach."

Fresno State, San Diego State, and San Jose State all use the state format after the named city. I am tired of CSULB, LBSU, and other iterations.

If we become Long Beach State Beach, what beach-themed mascot should we be, or should we go completely in another direction?
