Our branding right now has "Long Beach State Beach" without using "The". Remember game at Galen Center and on the ribbon board it said "Long Beach State Beach". Same with TV as screen shows this without "THE".
A true mess that needs to be addressed if we are to be taken seriously.

I do not like "Long Beach State The Beach". It is awkward to say and doesn't roll off the lips.
What should our branding be?
I say Long Beach State Beach, deleting the "the." This is only if the 49er option is not going to be done. I have never heard a fan say, " Go the Beach." Of course, everyone says, "Go Beach."
Fresno State, San Diego State, and San Jose State all use the state format after the named city. I am tired of CSULB, LBSU, and other iterations.
If we become Long Beach State Beach, what beach-themed mascot should we be, or should we go completely in another direction?
