Eastern Washington is going to play past March 7th which will probably be our last game. At that point we will have to turn to any team we might like to continue on with college basketball. I would hate to root for a UCI or a UCSB. Eastern Washington will be my team to watch.

Monsoon is long gone and it does not matter to LBSU what he is doing. This current focus on Monson is looking backwards, we need to look forward. Acker is no Monson, but Monson was not able to win the big games, so we set out to find a coach who can win the conference and the big games. Bobby and we have to live with his choice. Part of the current situation with all our teams you can lay at Conoley’s doorstep. She was unprepared to handle NIL and P4 consolidation, even though it was in clear view. Hopefully this new guy will get and do something about it.
If I were a coach with booster groups for my sport, I would be focusing on raising money for trust funds and not concentrating on current expenses. The funds need to be outside the athletic department purview and managed by trusted people, and there are ways to unsure that happens. If we do not do this we are spinning our wheels for generations and be prepared for eventual trip to D2.

With our men’s basketball team essentially eliminated, I figure some of us will hop aboard the EWU bandwagon and support our guy Dan as they make a push for the NCAAs.
For anyone who already has been following them, what should we know about this team? Anyone have any insight?
I see they are 9-6 and have a big game tomorrow night against Northern Colorado. Looks like they could finish as high as the 2 seed in the Big Sky (currently tied for second with Montana St).
