For the last month the team had that fire burning in their bellies and last night it was maybe half there, Hawaii had a perfect set 1 but could have been beaten after that, but we could only manage one set win.

Freshman setter Pazanti was forcing things you could tell he was nervous. Hawaii is huge at the net and when they are cooking, its hard to deal with that. But, we have good size too, just couldn't find the desire within to match Hawaii.

It was a great crowd, even the match before with UCI and Ball State was well attended and that bodes well for mens volleyball.

I wish our seniors well: Varga, Braun, Bloom and Hillis, all wonderful young men who helped us achieve another final four and plenty of success, and each got a national championship ring! Just not this year.

UCI is on fire and they should give Hawaii fits, the money will be on the islanders but the Anteaters might steal it.

Thank you as well to all the Beach faithful who attended, Hawaii fans outnumbered us as always, but we showed up in better numbers than I thought we might.
