The team was a little more cohesive but needs to be a lot more, and that is part of what gives me hope this time around, Acker seems to have filled the cupboard with a higher potential cohesiveness factor (just my guess based on looking into each new signed player and their social media and reports on them).
While well balanced and I think fairly deep, we don't have much DI proven talent, if any really. That is a big concern but understandable, we can't whip out the NIL checkbook and offer a guy like Sykes $1.5 million. What a joke the last few years have been in college hoops!

I talk to Coach Ack now and then, and I do think that he is changing his ways and is learning on the job. I will be very interested to see how this years plays out. We will see what happens!!!

I think Acker is set in his coaching ways, but I am pretty sure he's looking at this year as a make or break year for being at least a mid tier BW team. I think he has the squad that can get him there, by no means are there any superstars although McCaden could be all BW 2nd team material.
Acker has to know that the pressure is on. He has another bomb out of a year, no one will have confidence in him. With the newer xfer rules, he might be able to retain half the returnees, but not the good ones they will bail out.
I don't see MBB resolving anytime soon. Acker does not seem to be the solution. We would need a special HC to lead the way, a competitive NIL budget, and lots of support. I don't see it right now, but maybe this GM can shift the culture some.

I am hoping that he can teach Acker how to win games.
