Friend's wife told me that she allowed her youngest daughter to take the cat from my friend's home (in San Pedro) to their home (about an hour away) (couple was separated but legally married for years) but that the cat was kept all night in a locked room and the 2 dogs in the house kept scratching at the door and cat cried all night long. Severely disabled daughter was awake all night. Cat returned the next day - where she is now - back alone at my friend's home where she's been alone now going on 3 months. The wife told me she's given her daughter 2 weeks to find cat a home. I'm in touch with a cat rescue worker that specializes in "grieving and behavioral issue cats" as this cat has become temperamental although she wasn't when I'd visit my friend pre cancer treatment and he was home. In fact, she used to jump up on my lap. Will continue to keep all posted on this. It irritates the @#$% out of me that parents can allow their children to rule the roost when it comes to important matters when the child is not emotionally developed as yet but maybe I'm too harsh. I'm just thinking of the animal.
