what you are going through, Pat! I haven't had a knee replacement but did tear my ACL, PCL and meniscus seven years ago. I would cringe anytime the cats came near my knee. That is also when I had to stop allowing them in my bedroom when I slept for fear of them jumping on my leg.

I don't do as much horseback riding now but the bike riding and swimming really help.
