I think she made the right choice, but I'm wondering how much longer before she's going to do the ankle replacement? My knees both got "re-aligned" - straightened (I had become somewhat "knock-kneed" over the years - apparently not an uncommon occurrence) and in the time between Knee 1 and Knee 2 I had some pain not just in the knee, but also my hips and lower back as I had a bit of a "hitch" in my step to account for the mismatch between my two legs. Once the second knee got done and re-aligned to match the first, things got better.

Funny story about that - the morning after my second surgery, when my doctor came in to check on me, I told him I thought I was taller. He said that I was probably just imagining things as that was highly unlikely.

Well, a month ago I had to go in to my regular doctor for something, and I asked them to measure my height while I was in there. And guess what? I'm an inch taller!

I told my knee doctor at the appointment last week and reminded him that he'd said I was probably just imagining things, and he just laughed and said "Well, I believe you now!".

I hope your daughter can get that ankle done soon and that it will help with her ongoing pain!
